Nathan Levy Inspires Lealands Students To Be The Best They Can Be.

This week, Lealands was really pleased to welcome back inspirational speaker Nathan Levy to the school for three days to deliver assemblies and workshops to our Year 8, 9 and 10 students, aimed at preventing knife crime.

After the death of his youngest brother Robert, Nathan turned his back on his thriving business and instead began to address the issue of knife crime and youth violence. He visits schools and other establishments to warn young people of the dangers involved in carrying knives and other weapons and the fatal consequences associated with them.

Nathan has become a recognisable figure around our school. He visited last year, delivering his workshops and telling his story, which received a very positive response from our students. Following that, we invited him back for our annual Presentation Evening and asked him to be our guest speaker, which he kindly accepted.

The focus of his assemblies and workshops this time around was on how self-development, building communities and self confidence can help to prevent knife crime. He highlighted how important it is for young people to take advantage of the opportunities available to them through education and to always 'be the best you can be'.

Our students were thoroughly engaged throughout the week and really enjoyed Nathan’s inspirational and positive messages to them.
