Dr Joanne Summers, Head of Inclusion and Principal Educational Psychologist at Luton Council, was invited to speak about the growing issue of Emotion Based School Avoidance (EBSA). She shared insights into the needs of young people experiencing EBSA and discussed how schools and educational settings can provide effective support to help them return to learning.

The visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase the impactful work being done at Lealands, particularly in understanding the barriers some young may experience in relation to education at school and understand how we can support reintegration into a positive learning environment.
