Lealands Remembers

At 11:00 am on Tuesday 11th November, the Lealands High School community gathered together for a Remembrance service to honour the sacrifices made by those who have lost their lives in conflicts.
The ceremony began with Mr. Patterson sounding 'The Last Post,' followed by a respectful two-minute silence. The service continued with a recital of the poem 'In waters deep' by Eileen Mahoney, delivered beautifully by our Head Girl, Aleesa and Head Boy, Youssef.
Acting Headteacher, Mr. Ward, laid a poppy wreath, while representatives from each tutor group placed poppy crosses in the memorial garden. This service provided an opportunity for all of us at Lealands to pause, reflect, and express our sincere respect and gratitude for those who served.
Our staff and students showed great dignity and respect as we came together to remember.
