Student Rescues Baby Bird
On her way to school recently, one of our students in Year 10 found a baby bird on the side of the road in Sundon Park. Realising it was probably in trouble, she picked it up and brought it in to Mrs McGirr and Miss McBeath in the Well Being Hub.
They got a box and a hot water bottle and made a warm bed for it and made contact with a lady from Wildlife Welfare who arranged for someone to pick the bird up. The lady who arrived was very grateful to our student for being so kind and caring.
We named the bird Billie and he is now being looked after at the rescue centre.
