On Friday 22nd April, our Year 7 netball team travelled to Butlins in Skegness to participate in the England School’s Netball Festival.
The tournament started on the Saturday and after 4 games the girls were unbeaten; winning 2 and drawing 2. Due to their excellent results the girls were successful in getting through to the semi-final stage on Sunday, which they also won 7-5.
Before the final began the girls were given some invaluable advice from England defender Ama Agbeze. She even stayed on and cheered for them throughout the final game.
After a brilliant team display and overcoming some tough competition over the weekend, they finished runners-up! Well done to the girls involved, you did us extremely proud.
