Guide to the Cashless System
We would like to make you aware, that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Lealands High School has taken the decision to go completely cashless. This decision has not been taken lightly. The health and safety of both staff and our students is paramount and is in line with other Luton schools who have taken the same decision.
All payments for purchases (for example, ties or school equipment) or contributions (for example, trips), will need to be paid via our online portal. You can access the portal via our website, by clicking on the £ sign, or via the Payments button on the MyED app.
If you require a ’Link Code’ to set up online payments, you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org, who will issue you with a letter giving all the details that will allow you to access the payment screen.
All Year 7 students and any new starters will be issued with the same letter containing details of your child’s individual access codes, plus instructions on how to log into the portal.
We are currently looking at ways to reintroduce school meals, which will mean that all school dinners must be paid for online – further information will follow in the near future but in the meantime students MUST bring in a packed lunch, unless they qualify for free school meals.
We thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Lealands High School uses a cashless system, commonly used in many other schools, in our dining area and the snack bar in the Atrium.
We use SCOPAY for our online payments, you may already have an account, if so great news, they’ve released a new mobile app.
For parents not yet using SCOPAY, did you know you can; pay for dinner money, trips and events, music lessons, school ties and other items. All school meals must be paid for online and using SCOPAY allows you to top up your child’s account anywhere, anytime using a credit or debit card.
All parents have access to SCOPAY, if you have not yet registered to make online payments, please contact the school office on 01582 611600 or email email@example.com and an access code will be issued to you.
To find out more, visit www.scopay.com.
The cost of a school meal is £2.20** per day. To access the online payments system, click the '£' link which appears on the slideshow above, alternatively, it can be accessed directly from our MyED app by clicking the 'Payments' button.
*From 30th April 2018, users of Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Vista, will no longer be able to make payments via the Tucasi Online Payments System which are processed by WorldPay. This change is being enforced by the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).
While you will still be able to access Tucasi SCO, view the content and perform tasks in the normal way, if you attempt to pay online you will receive an error message.
This is outside the schools’ control and we apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, however, we will be unable to assist with making payments online using Windows XP & Vista following this date.
** £2.20 is the cost of a school meal when it includes the pudding of the day. Alternative puddings are available, but may be charged at a higher cost.
